About Governor Andrew Mwadime

Elected as the 3rd Governor of Taita Taveta, Andrew Mwadime has championed transformative development: launching the Voi road project, expanding access to clean water, building new health facilities, and empowering youth and women through innovative programs. His administration is recognized for transparency, prudent financial management, and inclusive leadership.

Re-elected as MP, Mwadime delivered over 50 community projects, including new schools, health centers, and water boreholes. He was a vocal advocate for education, healthcare, and infrastructure, earning a reputation for accessibility and grassroots engagement.

First elected to Parliament, Mwadime quickly became known for his hands-on leadership and commitment to uplifting marginalized communities. He initiated bursary programs, improved local roads, and championed youth employment initiatives.

Before joining national politics, Mwadime worked as a community organizer, leading local development groups and advocating for better education and health services in Taita Taveta. His grassroots work laid the foundation for his political journey.

A graduate of Kenyatta University, Mwadime was active in student leadership and local youth organizations. His early years were marked by a passion for service, integrity, and a vision for a better Taita Taveta.
